On Saturday 21st August 2021, Oper Im Steinbruch closed their summer season with a breathtaking performance from International Soprano Courtney Ann Mills in the role of Turandot.
Thousands cheered as her voices filled the quarry and the hearts of all those present for this incredible performance.
“The quarry is omnipresent, it is the protagonist and everyone has to submit to it. It is the most beautiful and the most unique location. The quarry is a spectacle in itself, and in the “Turandot” one was able to dream this year, as we were all part of a fairy tale” says Daniel Serafin, Oper Im Steinbruch festival director.
“The opportunity to perform in such a prestigious and renowned festival was absolutely incredible” says Courtney. “With my upcoming concerts and 2021/2022 schedule these next few months will be key to programming all my next events. But one thing is certain: I can’t wait to be back at Oper Im Steinbruch!”
